Sokode Dwaso, in the Abuakwa North District of Ghana’s Eastern Region, is known for its cocoa and mixed farming economy. Residents cultivate cassava, cashew, coffee, plantain, and coconut, but for decades the community struggled with limited access to clean drinking water. This challenge came to an end in June 2025 when Safe Water Solutions for Africa (USA), together with Solutions for Safe Water – Ghana, implemented a modern borehole system. The project now provides over 2,800 people with dependable access to fresh, clean water, supporting better health and productivity across the area.
