Transforming Lives Through Clean Water in Africa

For millions in Africa, access to clean water is a daily struggle. Waterborne diseases, long walks to unsafe sources, and lost opportunities for work and school are part of life for too many communities.

During a 2024 trip to Ghana, travelers with iZania Travel Services saw these challenges firsthand. Inspired to make a difference, our pilot initiative, the Asebu Nkroful Borehole Project in Ghana’s Central Region, now provides clean drinking water to approximately 3,400 residents. This success inspired two additional projects in 2025, made possible through the generous support of fellow travelers. Together, these efforts now serve approximately 10,000 residents.

Each project includes water testing, drilling a borehole, installing a storage tank, and training local villagers for sustainable, long-term management. This initiative is spearheaded by two not-for-profit organizations -- Water Solutions for Africa (USA) and Safe Water Solutions (Ghana). Our goal is to ensure every project makes a lasting impact.
